Every couple I work with has an online Gallery where they can view and share photographs from their wedding day and prints can be purchased by family and friends.
The money generated by the Gallery goes to a charity I support called ‘Kiva’.
Kiva provides interest-free business loans to people across the world who don’t have access to institutional financial support. I like the idea that my business in this country can help to support people across the world to trade themselves out of poverty. So far we have helped:
Francis in Kenya with his photography business
Susana, a librarian in Nicaragua, to improve her housing
Ahmad in Iraq with his photography studio
Ghafooran in Pakistan with her beauty salon
Mohammad in Palestine to get married
Samina in Pakistan with her catering business
I’m hoping this list gets longer in 2012.
