I really believe it is YOUR day. That’s what I like to photograph. I’m very conscious I’m telling a personal story when I photograph a couple’s wedding day and that’s what I want to reflect. Your choices, your friends, your families, you behaving like ‘you’.
My approach is very low key: it’s about capturing the day as it unfolds and creating a unique set of photographs that tell the story of your wedding day – it won’t look like anyone else’s.
There will be ‘formal’ photographs I’m sure, after all it’s an occasion when everyone is together in the one place, but I like to make these quick, painless and with the minimum of fuss so the day can continue to flow.
I don’t shoot a set number of hours but fit with your timetable to tell the story of the day – typically I shoot from Bridal Preparations till after the First Dance which will usually cover everything but if you have fireworks later expect me to be there (I love good display).
